Let me ask you a question... Do you feel like crime in your neighborhood has
increased year to year? Most people would say YES. Why?
Well it's a proven fact that crime rate goes up over time but now it seems more violent and a lot more often than we would like. I don't know about you, but I feel like I must do my part to protect what is important to me, my family. I can do that by installing a wireless home security system, preferably a video system.
Why choose a wireless home security system using video?
Most families live in a house? Correct, so if you don't have a security system in place and you want one, wireless is the only way to go, other wise you have to run wires and I don't think you want to do that yourself. You need professional installation...which of course cost more. However, with wireless, you just need a control panel (home computer), Interface, and camera's. If you can pug in an interface to a pc and install your cameras, your done and on your way to protecting your home and family.
Other advantages of wireless systems: electricity is not need, they rely on batteries which
can last 2 or 3 years and they cost less than hardwired. Also, you can take it with you if you move and a wireless system can be placed in an area where a hardwire system is impossible or undesirable.
I will tell you something there are always pros and cons to your method of choice so it wouldn't be far to not discuss the cons. Why shouldn't I use a wireless home security system?
* Hardwired Applications last longer & are easer to upgrade.
* With Wireless, You must be diligent when setting up the cameras - No Dead
Spots!
* With Wireless, Fail to install dead batteries and render that unit useless.
So there you have it, if you have the bucks, I guess you go hardwired with video. But if your like me, do my own home repair, and are on a budget, you would want to go with wireless.
Just remember it's security for your family, that's really important part, not the method you choose.
